Engineering Division Expansion to Meet Growing Water Room Demand
LOVES PARK, ILLINOIS, JUNE 27, 2022 – Today WaterSurplus announced an Engineering division expansion. As demand has grown for WaterSurplus’s ImpactRO – based turnkey water rooms so too has the need for additional engineering capacity. To date, four new team members have been added to the Engineering division. They are Jody Burgess, John Soutar, Scott Watkins, and Adem Dalipi.
“As more and more beverage companies like Mark Anthony Brewing turn to WaterSurplus to design and build custom water treatment facilities the need to expand our engineering capacity has grown,” said Steven Johnson, Vice President of Engineering at WaterSurplus. “We have worked hard to attract and maintain a very talented pool of industry experts, and these four individuals are further evidence of that.”
Jody Burgess – Manager of Applications Engineering
As Manager of Applications Engineering, Jody Burgess will manage the interface between prospective customers and the Engineering division to ensure thorough project specifications are developed and quoted. Burgess has worked in the water industry for nearly 15 years, most recently at Pureflow Inc. Before that, Jody graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University.
John Soutar – Senior Mechanical CAD Designer
John Soutar joins WaterSurplus as a Senior Mechanical CAD Designer. His decades of experience include many years at USFilter before moving to Eclipse Inc. which was later acquired by Honeywell Thermal Solutions. Soutar has worked as a contract Mechanical designer for WaterSurplus in the past, allowing him to rapidly integrate with the team.
Scott Watkins – Contract Application Engineer
Scott Watkins resumes his esteemed career in the water treatment industry after a two-year hiatus. As a contract Application Engineer, he will apply his vast knowledge of water treatment to help shape prospective projects and introduce the industry to ImpactRO, WaterSurplus’s revolutionary high-efficiency, and high-recovery reverse osmosis systems.
Adem Dalipi – Associate Electrical Designer
Adem Dalipi joins WaterSurplus for a summer (and seasonal) internship as an Associate Electrical Designer. Dalipi will work closely with the other members of the electrical engineering and design team. Adem is currently enrolled in the Electrical Engineering program at Northern Illinois University.
