Reduce System Footprint
Bringing to market catalytic media filtration systems (OxiPlus line of media) which effectively remove iron and manganese using a footprint that is less than half of a traditional treatment system.
Reduce Chemical Consumption
Decreasing the volume of antiscalant chemicals required to operate an RO system effectively.
Improve Water Recovery
Developing RO operational techniques to reduce the amount of water sent to drain.
Redirecting water treatment equipment, RO membranes, and ion exchange resin headed for landfills to our refurbishment facilities to be brought back to the market.
Improve Treatment Efficiency
Advancing RO membrane technology to reduce system-wide energy consumption.
LED-ing the Way
Reducing our own energy consumption by completing a company-wide LED lighting upgrade.
Minimize Membrane Waste

Advancing sustainability has been a core part of our philosophy at WaterSurplus since the beginning. Be that by pushing the boundaries of water recovery in reverse osmosis, developing systems that require significantly fewer antiscalant chemicals, recycling and/or refurbishing equipment, membrane elements, and resin, or licensing catalytic filtration media that require half the footprint of a traditional media system.
